"On another note, how can we be upset about how black people are portrayed when we probably do the most damage to our image?" <Brave and true words, Rahsheen. I had no idea the site was 6 years old.

I understand all of the above, including the need to appeal to different cultures in different ways and means. Unfortunately, the issue not yet addressed above, is that other races (specifically whites) are not allowed to appeal to one race in this same way. It is classified as racism. There can be no United White College fund, Miss White America, or even 365White. This is a very tough economy for everyone. The thought that one race has it tougher than the other is simply simple minded, and a cop out. For goodness sake! We have a Black (and white) president. Countless number of successful black business leaders across the nation. The once publicized discrimination within professional sports is now weighed heavily in the opposite direction, including coaching positions. But we don't see that coming from the media.

If you believe what you say above, then tell me how we can appeal to the white race, in the same way you want to be allowed to appeal to the balck race, without being charged with Racism?

My color is of no matter and I have friends, very good friends, from every color imaginable if we want to narrow it down to that. I will no longer eat at or support anything regarding Mc Donalds since I have worked at one and I know that this is propaganda. Mc Donalds is using one culture as its workers and another to support what it does with those workers. People are foolish if they think this company cares about any color other than green.

Why can't we celebrate each culture seperatly and still celebrite diversity as a whole? we can all learn from each other as well as learn about each other. I think each culture should in-fact take the time to celebrate their culture indivisually as well. It's healthy on both parts. We can learn to understand each other as people and at the same time understand who we are in our own specific culture. At the end of the day we all still eat, bleed, and sleep in the same manor. Maybe just in different styles. Rahsheen, we really can't be mad as a black culture by the way we are being portrayed. We truly do play a big part in the damage we do to our own image.
