BET’s Web Series “Buppies”: Off to a Rough Start
I know for me that I was introduced to a particular artist on twitter but after a year of following them and reading some tweets that made me *smh* (thanks Angela for teaching me what that means) I realized that people are people. However, some people need to be careful of the image that they are trying to portray if they want potential fans.
Thank you for sharing.
As far as the Britney/Tyler Perry, buy my music, watch my movie Twits, they can be quite annoying b/c people already know they probably have no idea what Twitter is, and it's basically be ran by some non-paid intern.
I want to comment now about Etta& Beyonce. I can understand Etta being a little upset, but I don't think she should have made the comment ; however, I don't feel she needs to personally apologize to Beyonce. I haven't heard an apology from Beyonce to Janet Jackson (if that 'rumor' is true, that she called Janet 'lower class" and that her dad 'pimped her & her brothers). Beyonce would not be where she is if her dad had not "pimped" her. It takes hard work and a lot of discipline to nurture talented youth and I believe that is what both sets of parents did for their children! So Beyonce (I have always loved Janet, but in the past couple of years or so , I have become a fan of Beyonce) you need to remain humble and don't get 'too full of yourself or you will start losing fans. We all really love Janet and her brothers!!
Thank you for promoting the election last year and encouraging 'us' to vote! Also, I have noticed that a lot of 'political analysts seem to have a problem referring to Mr. Obama as 'President Obama'. It really bothers me when they continually just say "Obama" this or "Obama" that. They need to be reminded that he is the president and has earned all of the rewards, respect, regard, etc, etc that comes with that position! ' Whoo, it feels good to get all of this off my chest! Love you, Michael. Bea4Obama in TX.
Peace and blessings to everyone. I have a story to tell you, and a question to ask. My name is Cheryl Brown-Avery, and I'm the author of Summers to Remember and Where it all Began. You can check me out online at Amazon or Barnes & Noble. My story begins after the publication of Where it all Began in Oct. 2008, everything was going well until one cousin from my home church purchased a copy two weeks ago. Both books are about my life story, growing up on a rural farm during the early 1960's in North Carolina. After my cousin read the book, she shared it with her sister and several church members. Chapter 6 was written to open the eyes of people who attend church and then talk about their fellowman after they leave out the church doors. I called these people "Churchwatchers." I never mentioned the name of the church nor any members names of the church. Anyway, the sister who read my book, began trying to guess whom the characters were in the book. She went as far as taking her accusations to the church Pastor, Deacon Board and other members. None of the church members, Deacons or Pastor read my book. They listened to this lady and the next thing I heard was an emergency Deacon meeting called, then an official dismissal letter was thrown in my face by the Pastor. My reputation and book have been slandered by church persons. My book ridiculed by them. This is a family church, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. The heat from their chaos will be carried over into court. It's a sad shame for family to have that much hatred to cause confusion within any church. My question to all of you, Do I have freedom of speech according to the U.S. Constitution? Remember, no church name or member names are in the book. The church officials assumed I'm discussing them?
