Meh. I don't care what Firefox plugins I use are verified, so I doubt this will matter much to part and parcel of the facebook crowd. At this point, they've rendered most apps useless by not allowing them to show up effectively on the front page of most people's profiles. They got the buzz they wanted from being "open" and imploring others to do it (better) and now they just sit and scramble for the next thing they'll do.

Maybe they're just trying to become FacebookOS or something, but whatever their business model is, they'd be quick to get it together.
