BET’s Web Series “Buppies”: Off to a Rough Start
@solacetech: I totally agree, I want to go to Technology to read technology, not have it scattered through various other categories like entertainment.
Your thoughts?
Just thought I'd mention that I am the "someone" who submitted an article from Black Web 2.0 to GG in July.
"Is Urban a Euphemism for Black?"
It was quite popular and remained on the home page for about a week.
Love you guys (no offense Angela)!
God Bless:)
Yes Ryan submitted us and we got a fair amount of traffic from it, we had submitted content ourselves but by far what Ryan had submitted was more popular. I am guessing be he also submitted a response post that he had on his blog.
Ryan it seemed like you had submitted content before did you get much traffic back from it? And do you think this redesign will help bring traffic back to publishers?
By the way Great article!
In answer to your questions, with the previous GG Interface I received quite a bit of Traffic.
I'd say between 800+ to 1,000+ hits a day!
However with the "New" GG I haven't been so fortunate.
The new Interface appears to make it less beneficial for smaller Publishers/ Sites (like mine) as it relates to submitting content and actually having it viewed by unique visitors.
Its sort of reminds me of having to fight my way through a mob or something to that nature.
In addition the site is currently experiencing a few technical difficulties.
Prior to GG's most recent change I became complacent and seemed to have relied too heavily on that channel for customers (visitors).
Going forward I will continue to utilize GG because I still believe in the site's original mission/ purpose, however it will no longer be my sole source of traffic.
I've only been Blogging for approximately 5 1/2 mos but now I am forced to re-think everything as it relates to the survival of my Weblog within the Blogosphere.
So....
Its back to the drawing board which is actually a good thing.
This opportunity has presented itself to prove whether I can become a Serious Blogger or consider closing shop.
Since quitting is definitely NOT an option, I've chosen to finish strong thanks to informative/ educational sites like Black Web 2.0:)
Peace
