Recently, I have read of companies looking up a customer's "Klout Rating" when they receive a comment or complaint and giving the customer a differnet level of customer service attention based on the level of their "Klout".

Re: Got Klout?

i got klout :: not! i only got a grade of 73 LOL but @waynesutton @cchapman klout tells me i need to shoot for their status. The day we launched was the same day TC came out with that post. Nice to feel like what we have been working on is relevant.

Re: Got Klout?

Thanks for the comment, Joe. Seems like Klout ties right into the current discussion going on about "authority" on Twitter.

Re: Got Klout?

Rahsheen thank you for the write up. This idea of discovering who has the ability to "spread content the furthest" as at the core of what we are aiming to do with Klout. If we can all understand who has the biggest impact on the velocity of the content we create as it spreads across the internet those people can be recognized as partners and not just as content consumers. That said, it's not about identifying obvious influences but being able to say "these are the 50 people you need to talk to about sneakers" for example. There is a ton of work to get there but we are excited about the possibilities.
