    most of it makes sense except on the ubuntu/linux. in my country, there is no linux expertise and its sucidal to go that way. I have even tried to use mysql and ended up rrgrating that move. so i stay with good old microsoft and luckly, most of my clients do the same. i have only used opensource for a gis prototype but even then, i will go the esri way for production version. corporate clients in my country are also averse to open source
