Black Web 2.0: Skype as your small biz savior

Skype is a good choice. I prefer open source alternatives, because I'm orrnery like that. Gizmo Project and Ekiga are two options. Just be aware that if you're using non-Skype VoIP services, you'll want to use an encryption add-on for your particular client (unless it already has encryption)

Ooooh nice look! Where's the Disqus and Seesmic plugin? :) I've been a Skype user since it came out of beta. Such a great tool for the business person is true! The other great thing is that it works on any windows based smartphone/pda with wifi...

I have used Skype, Vonage (counterpath), Gizmo, ooVoo, and Taktume. For me the Skype features, user base, cost, and the abundance of devices, Skype has the other beat for now. Although my boy Michael Robinson is kickin up some dust with his crew at Gizmo.

Checkout a new client we are doing work for named IPEVO (http://www.ipevo.com), they have a great Skype conference product. We should have some to test, and a few to give out on the site in the next few weeks, stay posted....
