Can you get a number that is specific to your location? (area code) Or can you get a number thats available anywhere?

You can get a number specific to your location or a number that's available anywhere basically except the 212 area code (I tried for one of those). I've got a 404 number through Google Voice, but my original numbers are 910 and 202 numbers.

I have a 727 number from Florida but really want a 404 # now that I live in Atlanta, are you willing to sell your 404 #?

Hmm...if I could, I would let you have it. Thing is, everything is tied together across all of Google's services under one username. I'm stuck with it for now! :\

Ah that stinks... Thank you for the quick reply though!

Thanks for reading! I'm impressed with Google Voice (obviously) because of the simple yet useful features it offers that somehow the phone companies don't. This is proof that sometimes the best ideas for how to improve something come out of leftfield. I think everybody will like it. If they let current users invite more people, I'll be sure to post some invites here. :)

    Hi!
My name is Mike, and I have been trying to paw through every place on the internet for one of those invites-all the way back to right after they closed the blogger invites (really-two days after):-(. Anyway, maybe could I get an invite if they allow users to give out invites? My email is: greenhero13@mail.org
    Thanks a whole lot!!!
    Mike

Heyy, they're still not allowing users to invite other users. When they do, you're on my list. :)

Google voice hasn't been able to dial out for days. So at the moment its an inbound-only phone number. So much for integration.

I'm not sure when they'll let current users invite new users, but when they do, you're on my list! :)
